    Yes I use quidco.

Basically they pass on some of the commission they get for new customers.
You have to make sure you buy things throught the quidco links and you need to be careful about cookies because these are the technical thingummies that record details about your transactions.
You do need to read up and be careful with the technology because if things don't get recorded correctly then you won't get your cash.

It's definitely worth it IMO as you can get hundres of pounds back on car and house insurance etc with little effort (providing you put some effort in on the technical side).

It can take several months to get cashback although it varies so I'm afraid it isnt't a quick way to make cash.
I think about 2 months is normal but it can take longer as quidco cannot pass it on until they actually receive it.

On warning - don't buy anything JUST for the cashback.
Make sure the insurance you buy is the cheapest anyway and you would be getting it anyway.
The reason that I say that it that occassioanlly there can be hiccups (maybe of a technical nature) and you might miss out so it does not generally make sense to pay extra or buy extra things simply on the basis of cashback.
It need to be stuff that you are buying anyway and is the cheapest anyway and then the cashback is a bonus.

If you want a really quick payout then I think you'll be dissapointed but you can save hundreds on it.

I've recently registered with quidco and made my first £100+ online purchase via them just...

ive gone in to my earnings and it says nothing recently tracked - is this normal?

i'm unsure as i added items to my boots basket first then remembered quidco and went in to there, clicked the link and it already had the items in i'd added...could this be why or am i looking to early?

    thanks for any help.

Not necessarily just for new customers - if you use Quidco for online shopping, you get cashback on EVERY transaction (not just your first purchase).

Quidco are also fairly unique in that they pass on ALL the referral commision they receive in exchange for a flat rate annual fee of £5 (rather than taking a cut of the commission from every purchase you make).

I agree that the cashback can often be quite slow in coming, but so long as you can see that a transaction has tracked, then there should be no problem with you receiving your cashback eventually (so long as you don't return the item!). The tracking position has also improved with the recently-introduced SureShop scheme, so that queries are more likely to be resolved where merchants are members of the scheme.

I had the same thing saying nothing tracked, even though I went through the proper link. Asked them to investigate, gave all the details, and it's still being looked at after 10 months.....

In my view there are more trustworthy one out there, (albeit less commission) those being mutualpoints & rpoints. They've ALWAYS paid up with me.
  • Oh it's definitely worth it!!!! It takes a while for the money to arrive but totally worth it!

Ok thanks i guess i'll just chalk my first one down to bad luck and hope for the best with future purchases.

edited after - I just went back to quidco to check and contact them about it and it is coming up as the correct date/time of ordering when i have gone through the missing item page. it says that boots can take 14 days to appear so with a bit of luck it may work.

Just thought it might help anyone readin unsure whether to go ahead.

Did you visit the website where you made your purchase to look first and then go to Quidco to click through to actually buy. If so then the Quidco purchase would not track, because the supplier website would have already placed a cookie on your PC and as such the Quidco one does not register. I always clear cookies before making any purchase via Quidco and we've only had one problem but approximately £500 cashback over the last couple of years

Yep - clicking through from Quidco is no different to clicking from an advertising banner on some other website, only the referral commission goes to Quidco (and hence YOU) rather than going to the advertiser. The only way you won't get your cashback is if you don't complete the transaction online (eg if the promotional code is one where you have to ring up to order). ;)
