Glass shower screen issue

We have a glass shower screen and the glass has started to come away from the metal frame so we have pulled it out to avoid it falling out and damaging the bathroom....but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how I can repair it rather than replace it? Would applying a type of glass sealant into the metal and 'sticking' the glass to it work? Or will it not hold the weight? Any ideas would be great and if I haven't explained it very well I can try again!!

I am pretty sure a good quality bathroom sealant would hold the glass in place
the load is being carried by the metal so all the seal is doing is stopping the glass dropping out.
if you were really worried you could go for something like no more nails waterproof ..but I doubt you would ever get the glass out again0 -
Cheers for the reply, It was previously held in by some kind of rubber within the metal and not attached the metal as such (so we literally peeled it out at the bottom where it was still connected) but its good to know that the sealants are strong enough to hold it...plus it can be used as a door into the bath at the moment but when it's stuck in we plan to leave it in one place resting against the bath to try and avoid it coming out....just hope it's strong enough so the glass stays in!!0

Just make sure you clean the glass and metal channel thoroughly before applying silicone. A wipe over with a methylated spirit rag is always a good idea too.0
