Probate - forms PA1 and IHT 205

Hello all. First post on MSE having been a 'lurker' for a number of years...an amazingly useful website however.


Quick query re: forms for probate.


As background I'm currently about to submit probate and IHT forms for my late father's estate, who passed away a couple of months ago.


I've filled in forms IHT 205 (2011), IHT 217 (to transfer my late mother's nil rate band) and also PA1.


However I notice on form PA1 it makes reference to filling in IHT 205 (2006) i.e. the older version of the form. I can't find an updated PA1 form with reference to IHT 205 (2011) anywhere.


Does one exist or has PA1 just never been updated to reflect the fact that IHT 205 has been updated since then? I can't seem to find reference to this potential discrepancy anywhere online so grateful if anyone can clarify from first hand experience!

I posted my probate application last week using 2011 iht205. I also could not find a 2006 version
Have not heard anything back yet.
Quite shocked to find that the probate fees had gone up from £90 to £215 since april 2014.
