Yeah I definitely wont even think anymore about that flat! I do appreciate all replies to the thread!

I got a mortgage putting my parent's house as a "warranty"? My parent's house is worth more than 150K - and that's enough for the bank to dish the cash. Even though I live in UK they agreed the mortgage...which is good!

If they are able to advance you the cash without this property being security. That makes you a cash buyer.

Unless you want to live in a studio flat for life, remember that the ability of the NEXT person to get a mortgage is also very important. It would be unsellable, and to make things even more worrying you will be putting your parents home at risk!!

Don't buy it. Forget that you can, and think if you should.

Everything the OP has said so far about where the money is coming from has confused me.

I am not even sure the flat is for her as she said 'in my country........' I suspect this may be a purchase to rent out. Can't imagine why ANYone would want to buy this flat as a permanent home, in an ex LA high rise block in a less-than-desirable area of inner London.

Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
