Mediums, psychics and clarevoyants now have to make it clear, in any advertising, they are 'entertainers'.

Which is what they are -it's all hokum, so, just look on it it as money wasted on a bit of fun!

    Lin :)

"Here in the UK, psychics have to be VERY careful when making claims. In 2008 the 'Consumer Protection' law was amended to include psychics, mediums and other practitioners of the paranormal. They are now effectively covered by consumer law and cannot make unsubstantiated claims. In essence this means that most such people have to display a notice which says that what they do is 'for entertainment only'.

Of course the fortune tellers and psychics did not like this one little bit. They organised marches and protests against the new legislation, but happily to no avail.

So, if you live in the UK and are tempted to visit a spiritualist, psychic, medium, fortune teller or any other such practitioner, don't forget that you are protected by the law.
If they claim that they can talk to your recently deceased relative, or they can tell what your future holds, then make sure they have a disclaimer which says that it is for entertainment purposes only.

If not you should notify local trading standards officials, who can close them down."
You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

Take it as a lesson learnt.
And maybe consider buying some snake oil. That will make everything better

I was always told those who really had a gift didn't charge because it was bad luck to cash in on a gift.

Anyway; my mums family friend was a psychic who read for friends and family for free. Things she told me and my mum came true; I had to wait some years for fruition but it was like a bolt out of the blue when they happened. I don't trust 'the gypsy rose-lee' in tacky seaside resort types!

Indeed - that's why I said (although other's disagree) that someone with such a gift shouldn't ask for payment. My gran was a psychic and she read for friends. She never asked for or took any payment offered. She stopped reading in her 20s when she upset herself on foreseeing the death of her best friend's fiance. I only learned of her 'gift' when she was an elderly lady & she was still too upset to talk about it.

Wow, he should be fighting crime.

    In fact, why isn't he?

Obviously telling people stuff in shopping centres about how many children they will have and their hair colour is a much better use of their powers that say solving crimes, or finding dead bodies

if people can see the future, then surely they should be made to share their gift, it would stop a lot of unacceptably death and suffering

If they can see the future, why can't they predict the lottery numbers for themselves?

To be fair, I think some of them think they have 'powers' but there has never been any proven evidence that anyone does.

They are all lying cheating scum who many prey on vulnerable people..End of story...Oh and the million pounds is still unclaimed...
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

I went to see a psychic a few years ago, walked into her tent and she was grinning from ear to ear so I hit her.

I always wanted to strike a happy medium...

    She didn't see that coming!

    I'm here all week...
