Ther are budget hotels like Travelodge, Premier Inn and Holiday Inns nearby. You can check out reviews on Tripadvisor before booking. If it for a popular artist then you may find it harder to get a local cheaper rate hotel room and in that case it would be worth looking at hotels in nearby areas that provide easy access via the tube to North Greenwich.0

Try looking around Stratford, lots of hotels there following the Olympics and takes a few mins on the tube. Also canary wharf (weekends in particular are cheap as the city is very quiet)
North Greenwich tube is literally at the O2 and personally I find it easier staying a stop or 2 away as the hotels are mostly a bit of a walk away there.0 -

I've stayed here for the O2 before - depending on the time you leave the O2 a taxi is as little as £13 black cab or £25 minicab, traffic dependent. It's perfectly serviceable if other places are full.0 -
travel lodge, premier inn and ibis all in greenwich (can get a bus direct O2) and more to do in greenwich than by the O2, or like others suggest stay somewhere else on jubilee line.0

I would second that. Greenwich Travelodge is a stones throw from the DLR station. Get a train to Canary Wharf and then change onto Jubilee Line.
Leg it before the end of the last song to make sure you don't get caught in the rush to leave at the end.Iva started Dec 2018.0 -
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Greenwich. It was about an 8 minute walk to the O2.0
