Selling clothes on ebay? Is it worth it? Is there a better alternative?

Some clothes sales are worthwhile, I've had a few items that were never worn and new with tags sell for more than I paid for them. But also many other items just don't sell.
It can help if you think you have something branded worth something to search completed listings to find out how much similar items are selling for then start a listing just below that value to make sure you get a decent price.
But anything that doesn't look worth selling but is too good for the bin I take to charity shop anyway.0
