Virgin freeview box

I have had Virgin on the phone this morning offering me a freeview box for £1 a month as an offer to my current phone and broadband. My broadband is the basic 2mg at £10 and phone basic £11 is this worth it or I am better buying a cheap box . The price of £1 stays as along as I am with them .

go to asda a buy one there less than £20 freeview box or any shop that sells them

I think the poster might mean that virgin are offering them virgin TV for £1 a month?

If so it might be worth it!

if so it's almost definately worth it - although it may lock you into the contract with them for another 12 months.

1) A £20 Asda freeview box would take nearly 2 years to pay back at £1/month
2) This is for FREEVIEW and *NOT* virgin TV, it's just a rebranded freeview box with the virgin epg on it. It's a nice box.

Obvious point really, but do make sure you can receive Freeview broadcasts.

Hardly surprising really, " Freeview " is a term for free to view stuff via an aerial, nothing related to Virgin.

I know this might seem a daft question but when we go digital will I need a free view box even if I have Virgin TV m package. Can't get my head round this digital lark.

As long as your M television Virgin package is through a cable you will not need a Freeview box for any TV connected to it.
When the analogue is shut off, you will, however, need a Freeview box or digital tuner for any other TVs you have that are currently getting their signal from an ordinary coax aerial.
