Response time from letter date?

Hi all,

Just received and offer on a PPI reclaim - rather a lot at around £14k! However the letter is dated 6th June and has just arrived today, advising us we have 14 days to respond. Additionally, they have only provided us with a 2nd class prepaid envelope.

Will this 14 days apply from the date that they sent it (i.e. 7 days from receipt) or the date that we received it, and is it advisable to use a better form of postage than their prepaid envelope?

Thanks

Just send it back in the envelope. In practice, if you don't return it, they'll probably pay it to you anyway.
