Gosh that was a close one! :j Pesky bank accounts, misbehaving when our backs are turned rofl
  • Fiends I tell you, fiends.

Well I'd best actually attempt to do something other than this!

    Banks OK but squeaky.

Food spends now up at £68.95

Just over half the month to go but hopefully we'll hit the £100 mark (ish) I've £165 'housekeeping' so we'll see if we manage to come in at 100 I'll be well chuffed given the food shopping mecca I've arrived into.

Although of course we can't actually eat anymore than we normally do even if we try.

    :)

  • Hiavered on blog and arranged a free cup of coffee and maybe lunch for tomorrow.

Arranged to give half of OH's worldly goods to my brother. All good.

    Not a bad start.

Onwards to some planting over lunchtime I think. Do we do the lavender or the peas/beans?

    Hey there good call.

Well the pesky lavender STILL isn't in. I've cleared the gravel and the membrane from the bed but its rock hard and really needing a bit of attention before I plant. Pesky thing. Who ever thought lavender by the door would be a good idea. Oh dear that would be me, yup.

Well I'm just 'in' from being 'oot' and I'm a dirty so and so. We ended up having tea in garden and HM flatbreads worked a treat. :)

    I got planted.

Sweet peas and french dwarf beans in a tub. - I'm trying to plant an edible in each flower tub to even out the score.
Annual blue flowers (no clue) from a chum with parsley
Sweetcorn with alpine strawberries (double whammy there)
Fushia (gift) with a cabbage each side.
Cucumbers in a window box up on top of the boiler - that's an experiment
Courgettes all planted one to a large window box and gravel on top for saving watering/weeding
Tomatoes are all now planted two to a window box. (must gravel them)
Walked the rasps up the border for them but it got late and me phone went.
Sweetcorn popped in the back of the border to give a bit of edible height.

Still LOADS of planting to do - have parsley, climbing beans, sweetpeas, peas, leeks, cabbages, some perennials from a chum and a few bits to pop in.

I also need to sort a mixed herb tub - somewhere near kitchen I guess. Did think about a herb bed for the border by the house but its very formal and I'd like something which will give all year interest so its lavender, perennial purple wallflower, grape hyacenth and poss some 'queen of the night' tulips in there. Purpletastic

So bit gardening/tea from planner - bit too much sun, and despite having sun cream on I have got burnt. Silly girl.

Got chainsaw sorted for tomorrow and its in the car.

Hope you've all had a great day too.

    :D

Waves hello! Me too I treated myself to 10 proper ones with some of the garden money to make a wee hedge by the house. I'm calling this productive as I can harvest the lavender and dry it and sell the flowers.

    Honest injun.

The bees are going nuts for it.
