Hey L - I never did make it to the big smoke, hope you're good.
Garden is very soggy. Last weekend i insisted in moving 16 sleepers by myself, its all laid out now, the cherry tree (RIP) is cut down and the paths are laid out. It all needs squared up but aside that I'm getting use to it. Its a shock even though its planned to lose the middle section of the lawn. IYSWIM
What are you planning you said something about raised beds. What you thinking in your brain, or are you needing some inspired ideas.........
Morning lands.
Up with the chooks and almost ready for leaving (well I will be when I'm dressed). A bit of a routine starting for mid week anyway.
Today's mini plan
Banks later
Work -need to finish and submit an article for work, needs a few photos
Volunteering, scribing a lecture today so need mind on and take a pen/notebook
Exhibition later in city if I muster up the pzazz to go in a close friend (from long time ago) has an opening today about declining seabirds - looks interesting.
Meals from stores
KC I finished the milkmight need some more
Keep cosy and if travel get the train in I think
I'll put a bit of cleaning on the list, you never know it might happen.

Morning :j
Good list there! Can't wait to see pics of new garden adventures :j
I need to get out and lop down some of my unwieldy lilac - roofer can't get the ladder in to fix the slate (that fell off in January, so not entirely sure why I feel it's urgent right now - but it is starting to get wintry again!)
Yawn0 -
Hope the lilac behaves cheery.
Hey KC I know just now I'm just not settling, its not that I'm not tired either, very odd.
What kind of area are you thinking L? Ornamental, food?
Work done
Volling done
Suns out low so might nip out for half a hour in garden.
Lunch scoffed (baked tattie) no appetite the now (??) so really needing to force food down, sure this won't last.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Hope your get-up-and-go comes back soon Pips, sounds like you've been slaving away with the sleepers. Like the others I'm keen to see pictures of the final result!
Today is one of those days where, by lunchtime, I hadn't even managed to finish writing my 'to-do' list never mind actually doing any of it. Still Little One and I did have fun painting, singing along to action songs and trying to play tunes on our pasta so I guess I shouldn't complain.0 -
Pasta tunes sound awesome Trog
Beach walk in the dark - tick
More wood chopped (odds and sods) in the shed - check
Bargains got - check (mainly sausages and meatfree bacon etc bread) £3.20
Hour in garden - check
I'm trying to fathom how to 'tie' these area's together I think from the house side I'll need to shape the lawn and make a big bed to 'step' through.
I've a mind to have a purple fest of alliums and verbena wafting about. I'm seeing Verb Bon in flower still up here, so its a long lasting thing.
So I'm thinking, start off with drumstick primulas, then onto queen of the night tulips, allium purple sensation and then verb bon all drifting about. With a dollop of Erysium bowles mauve dotted here and there, and its still flowering here.
Purple frenzy.
A bit of angelica gigas (purple form) and fennel (bronze) which when its all cunningly muddled together should really give me a tall purple 'border' to the veg garden.

PS I'd hardly say slaving, moving things in an independent manner because I don't want any other opinions perhaps.......
The thing is its hard to ask for help when you're not really sure what you really want until you do it.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
