I do like to leave my front bedroom (upstairs) windows open most of the year but am aware that this poses something of a security risk.
can anyone recommend a secure restrictor which could be fiitted? I have seen the Jackloc ones and also some brackets such as these
http://www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/products/locks_latches_and_security/door_and_window_security/826/concealed_window_restrictor_locking but 100mm opening does not seem enough to get decent fresh air flow.

There have these type in Amazon:
(Cannot post links, but google "Windows restrictors amazon")
The first link if for a cable based restrictor with the brand "JackLoc
No idea if they would stand up to bolt cutters or other security related issues though. And I have not personally used them0 -
I've had jackloc restrictors fitted on double glazed windows and they work really well (but don't use the permanent screws if you ever plan to remove the restrictors).0

100mm seems about right to stop my toddler exiting via his (low) window...
sorry to hijack the thread a little, but any thoughts on whether Jaclok or some other product may fulfil a similar function?0
