I thought the prices had been put up last year to make it look like you were getting a better discount than you actually were, glad you mentioned it as my friend thought I was crazy lol. My sister has been saying it for years and this year has screenshot every price ha ha. Should not be allowed to do that surely, I'm not even bothering with the next sale this year on that principal. (Annoyed my friend as I have the directory card lol) just seems wrong and very disappointed they would do this. Google it, it's ridiculous, stores put prices up so it looks like you are getting a bargain when in fact you are NOT.

There have been price increases across all the floors. The sell off and sale prices will be against the lower prices. It has something to do with items being sold for more than 28 days at the lower price. As far as I know it's something to do with a legal requirement that the sale price is against the lower price.

hello fontoknoknowledge. i don't suppose you could tell me if you know if any of the hartford range is going into the sale could you? we have just bought our first house and are looking to pretty much buy one of everything in the range. will still buy it if not reduced but would be a bonus if it was! thank you in advance!

Hartford is staying, but if you have a few stores locally pop in and see if they are selling ex display furniture. You may be able to get some of it cheaper.

Just because something is ex display does not mean it is actually going into the sale. Display items are refreshed at least yearly sometimes 6 monthly as they can get a bit dirty or worn.

Hehe I had my eye on the Hartford extending dining table - there is one in my local store on display so might chance it today to see if it is being reduced

Don't suppose anyone knows how long they would usually hang onto things before you have to collect once you've paid for them? Don't think I'd be able to borrow a van for another week to collect it

Same here, I've also had VIP slots for approx the last 4 sales and don't receive the catalogue.
