Help - temporary insurance for young driver

Options
Hello all - first post & I'm after help, sorry!

My daughter's coming home from uni & I need to insure her temporarily, just for 10 days, to drive my car.
My insurer says I'll need to cancel my policy & take out a new one which will cost literally £1,000 more than my existing one.
£1,000 is a huge amount for 10 days (OK there may be future usage at various points later in the year).

So, two questions if possible:
1. Anyone know of any insurers that offer temporary policies? &
2. When renewal time comes, any suggestions as to insurers that will add on young drivers for brief periods?

Really grateful for any thoughts.

    1. Google temporary car insurance to find lots

    2. A local broker (not swinton) will be up to date on which insurers will accommodate you at the renewal date. Or if you want to diy then contact your choice prior to buying and enquire.

Insurers change their criteria and one that does offer temp cover now may have changed their policy by the time you are ready
