Currys/PC World discounts

I hope I post this in the correct place, no doubt I will be told if not.

Just really pleased with a result I got in Currys the other day.

I went in to get a new washing machine and instinctively went for the 'budget/Cheapest' in store, and when eventually approached by a member of staff (normally they circle round like vultures) she said they didn't have any in stock and wasn't keen to give me the one on display even though someone had just taken a display model... Anyway she recommended I go for the next one up which was a Beko which was £20 more expensive.

So I came straight out with it and asked for a discount, after a little prompting (basically saying discount or no sale) she eventually agreed to give me 10% off which took the machine down to the price of the economy brand I was looking at.

So I went to the till to pay with the sales person and AFTER she applied the store discount, I promptly produced an NHS discount voucher, which had no mention on it about not being able to used in conjunction with any other offer. So I then got a further 10% off. Making the machine now £20 cheaper than the economy brand.

I then finished off by paying with my cashback card which will give me a 5% return so all together 25% off! Not bad for 15 minutes work.

So impressed I haggled in every other store I went into that day and got discounts and cashback! I'm actually starting to like shopping
