Credit card for airfares?

I want to buy british airways tickets to New Zealand. My plan is to buy an interest free credit card and pay minimum charge monthly. Is there any card you could suggest I get that would give me airmiles on the cash outlay on tickets?

If it's BA 'air miles' (Avios), then your only option will be the Tesco credit card. You'll get 1 clubcard point per £4 spend, which convert to Avios at a rate of 250 points per 600 Avios.
Your options are better if you can pay in full, but BA's cards are issued by Amex, and don't have an interest free intro offer.
If you want any old air miles which can be redeemed on BA, I suggest the American Airlines card, issued by MBNA. they did (not sure now) give 12 months interest free on AA flights, but this applied to any airline purchase (tried and verified by myself with Finnair, BA, Cathay Pacific and Qantas!) and award their AAdvantage miles. These can be used on BA, as American is a Oneworld partner.0 -
I'm not sure of any card with 0% interest or no annual fee that will give you airmiles. Either expect high interest rate, high annual fee or both.0
