in Credit cards
Hi,
I'm after a bit of advice as the customer service team were 'best guessing' on this tonight.
I have a Santander credit card with an APR of 29.9%. I recently received a 0% offer on balance transfers for a year, taking this up I transferred about £1K.
I'm having a bit of a financial 'clear up' and was in a position to clear the part of the card that was applicable to the 29.9% APR, aproximately £1.5K.
Am I right in assuming that if I clear the £1.5K the reaining balance will remain at 0%? I'm working on the assumption they clear the highest interest first and therefore that will leave me on the 0% deal - I'm aware that this may be slightly out due to a possible interest payment on the transfer fee (which I will cover with a slight overpayment).
Apologies if this is an obvious one...!
Many thanks for any advice.
