Without asking for their permission, no. Firstly, the wall would be their wall where it borders your garden, and they'd have a legal right to object. Secondly, any damage you might cause, you'd be responsible for repair.

Of course, if you ask them, and they agree... then you are OK. Have they attached things to your wall in the front garden?

These are the same neighbours who called the Police about their fence panel , and who are ever so slightly `crazy` , honestly , if i was to knock and ask if it was OK for me to put hanging baskets up on their wall , i`d have to take a picture of their faces , i could make money selling it!

Just ask them, no need to be looking things up.

    Then steer clear.

Even if you had some legal right, it isn't worth the hassle!

Oh, those neighbours.... I had forgotten you had... neighbours as well :D:D :rotfl:

No, don't do it. If you want hanging baskets, there are some metal "lamp-post" arrangements that just lean nicely against a wall, with a curved foot for support.... can't find them on ebay at the mo... look like a nonchalant coat hanger on it's side ... or an 'erect' anglepoise lamp... no need to fix to the wall. I know the National Trust garden centres used to sell them for ~ £100 each, then they were on ebay for £20ish a pair. Look quite nice... despite my description.

Why is it I have boring neighbours? Mine are known as "Moaner" and "Groaner" becausetheyhave monotonousconversationsinthegarden whereallthepausesare inthewrong place.... andtheymoanandgroan andgroanandmoan.... That's the worst they do. Oh, and wash their cars three times a week.

Poor little mites cant even see , let alone bark

Depending on the layout, particularly if a newer cavity wall property, you could jointly own both walls.
