    Fair point, but until it has been established there is a fault, they are not going pay out anything.

    The CC company are not going to visit OP and make a judgement as to the standard of the product or workmanship, or whether the sellers remedy is sufficient.

    Why would you not give the retailer the chance of putting the issue right? (Unless you've changed your mind about the blinds and don't want them anyhow.)
