Its been difficult don't get me wrong but for some reason 3 years have passed fairly quickly.


Those entering please please make sure you check your figures, make sure nothing could change eg Mortgage going up.

Well done, debtfree, a good feeling I'm sure. Sounds like you and I are on a similar timeline.

I'm 51 payments down and 21 to go and can finally feel the end coming into sight. When I first joined the forum and was starting out on my journey, I couldn't imagine being this far down the road. 5 or 6 years sounds so far away at the beginning but it does pass fairly quickly.

For those of you starting out, take comfort that the time will pass and as long as you agree to a plan you can reasonably afford, you will feel much more comfortable with the pressure of mounting debt removed. Be strong and forward thinking. It's only 5 years. Don't spend them drowning in unmanaged debt.

I don't wish my life away but I do hope the next 21 months rattle by.
