Moorhill House Hotel New Forest

If you EVER consider going there don't. It really is Faulty Towers, yet they charge £147 per room for ONE night. We have just come back from there, the room was tiny, the place stank, the wallpaper was peeling, the ceiling was leaking (In the room and downstairs) The pool was filthy, the staff were dour to say the least. I would expect to pay no more than very average B&B rates to stay there but they charged £147 for ONE night. Having researched the local B&B's afterwards (We wanted a one off special night away) the average rate is £38 per night. That, in my opinion, would make the MOORHILL HOUSE HOTEL £99 per night overpriced. anyway whatever you do stay away. If anyone wants a picture or three then PM me and I will oblige.

Some hotels down there are very overpriced, and not too welcoming.

This sounds worse than most though.

Next time look at tripadviser first.:D
Didnt you do some research? For £147 I would want the Palace of Versailles!
Dont know how tripadviser work it out but under hotel class they give it one star, out of a possible five.

To be honest we usually go well overboard on research but on this occasion we just spent twenty mins. looking at places online. (FOOLS) Once bitten and all that, it won't happen again. anyway I'll be writing to them and including pictures, never know I might even get some money back (although I won't be holding my breath !)

You could also be the first to put a review of them on the AA hotelguide website.

yes, you should to save others from a similar fate, also why not post a review on Trip Advisor? I assume that the AA would investigate after an amount of bad reviews.
