Should I take full student loan and then invest?

    This was a half decent option for people on repayment plan 1. (My interest rate is currently 1.5%)

    Doesn't seem quite so realistic with the new system though.

    I agree. I'm graduating this year, so started on the older system where the loans are currently costing 1.5%. Three years of maintenance loan means £10,000 at 3% in Santander, so a rough gain of £150/year. Of course when the base rate rises and I start work that gap will narrow.

    In your circumstance I wouldn't do it.

    at over 6% a year, i'd say no way jose. Ntot il you run out of cash then get the student loans for the rest.
