Thank you for your quick response, No I have sent Sainsburys Manager two emails now, and both not been responded to.
The email was sent to us very late last night, I also headed the Email with PCN number, and again within the email. Cant seem to understand really, as they had to obtain our address via DVLA, also this was on the ticket
Thankyou

PPC s are a mystery to even the most experienced at times. I don't think they even know themselves what they are proving sometimes, so I wouldn't worry.
Sit back and wait to see what happens now!
But in the meanwhile go into Sainsburys armed with copies of your emails and demand to see the manage very loudly in front of as many customers as you can.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Thank you for your help please can I ask for some again, My appeal has been turned down, and now unsure, where to go from here,
I have received this email back from them and not sure what to do now
Thank you for your email regarding the above Parking Charge Notice.
This PCN was issued legally and correctly according to the British Parking Association Approved Operators Scheme. The Parking Charge Notice represents a claim for liquidated and ascertained damages in respect of a breach of the ‘parking contract’ which is deemed to have been offered by our signage at the location, and accepted by you, the driver, in that you opted to remain.
We have calculated the sum owed as a genuine pre-estimate of the losses incurred in managing the parking location to ensure compliance to the stated Terms and Conditions on site and to follow up on any breaches.
We would remind you that the sum requested is well within the recommendations set out within Clause 19 of the BPA Code of Practice and that the sum, which is clearly and prominently advertised on site, has been approved by the landowner.
In light of this, on this occasion, your representations have been considered and rejected.
As you did not appeal the Notice within 14 days of issue the full amount of £60.00 is due.
Although we have now rejected your appeal, you may still have recourse to appeal to Parking On Private Land Appeals , an independent appeals service. To appeal to p o p l a please go to their websit and follow the instructions. If you would rather deal with this matter by post, please contact our Appeals Office and we will send you the necessary paperwork.0 -

Thankyou so much for everyones help, Just an update really, After emailing Sainsburys 4 times, I eventually telephoned to speak with the manager, He eventually got back to be, and has told me he is going to get this notice quashed. How will I know when this is done. will someone have to send me confirmation.
Thankyou to everyone again, and thank you to the Sainsburys Manager x0 -
Carry on with the POPLA appeal until you get written confirmation from Horizon that the charge is cancelled. The last thing you want to do is run out of time to appeal to POPLA and then find out you weren't told the truth.0

Yes, there is a chance the Sainsbury's manager has strung you along, if you told him you were using his car park while shopping at John Lewis next door. Nothing wrong in you doing this, you could always have popped in to Sainsbury's anyway, but he may just forget about ringing anyone about the fake invoice.0

You need written confirmation from Horizon, it's their charge, not Sainsbury's - that's the only time you can be certain.
I'd do the following:
1. Email the manager thanking him for his help and ask him for a quick email reply to confirm your understanding that he will be contacting Horizon to effect the cancellation
2. When you get his reply, write/email Horizon with a copy of the manager's confirmatory email, asking them to confirm the cancellation
3. If your POPLA deadline is approaching (and DO NOT MISS that) and you get no response from Horizon, another email to them to tell them that unless you get a confirmation of the cancellation by return, you will be submitting your POPLA appeal (developed in conjunction with experts from MSE) the following day; here is Horizon's final opportunity to save itself £27.
4. Continue with developing your POPLA appeal (in conjunction with experts
from MSE!!) Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanking everyone over this. I telephoned to manager yesterday, but he was off, so decided to call Horizon instead, spoke to a really nice chappy, and said they would speak with Sainsburys manager, and today I had an email to confirm that my PCN had been cancelled. Yes Result.
Thank you to all who helped, your imput was invaluable.

It shows that complaining is always the best way to go as it cuts the PPCs off mid flow!
