Hi guys,
I have posted here few weeks back and explained my situation:

then I try every bank (suggested) online, then Halifax accept my application, but the weirest thing is I didn't need any ID address bills this and that. And just put in 10 pound, got my account, still waiting for my card thou.
Is this normal?

Banks have ways of checking your identity electronically now. They certainly will have done an ID check on you, but as it didn't involve you sending in paper ID you haven't been aware of it.0

With Easycash we also got accepted but then we were asked to send photocopy of ID and later on we received letters with our account details and a letter saying to expect PINs and cards within 8 days. Our PINs came within days but our cards arrived yesterday, almost 2 weeks later.
However the Royal Bank Of Scotland Key Accounts were a lot quicker and they did not ask for ID so I assume that was done on electoral roll and possibly credit reference agency. We have both got the accounts up and running with cards and PINs and internet and telephone banking.
For your information from applying online for both accounts the start to finish time in total days was RBS Key account 19 days and Halifax Easycash was 32 days.0 -
Halifax easycash is quicker to apply by post (packs in branch) as you send everything at the same time, rather than being approached later0
