Can I get old SIM reactivated?

Hoping someone can help advice please. I upgraded from iphone 4S to iphone 5S and gave daughter the 5S without thinking - yes I know I should have thought this through and given her the 4S!

So now she has new upgrade with new SIM and is very happy. I was till my SIM for the iphone 4S was deactivated today.:(

I have a contract with EE Orange and have tried unsuccessfully to call them all day today hence this post and hoping someone can help.

My question is can I get the SIM for the 4S reactivated and how please?

    You'll probably have to wait to get in contact with EE.
    Have you tried the chat option on their website?

    It's EE that's blocked/deactivated the SIM so only they can activate it again.

    EE insisted not at all possible and were unhelpful. However daughter bought me a nano sim adapter today and it worked! So all sorted. Many thanks SOlitaire for reply.
