Car insurance rip off

Options
This beggars belief! I rang M&S car insurance to tell them I work for a different employer, doing the same jobs, and my premium has gone up by £5 per month plus I've been charged a £25 change of circumstances fee!
!!!!!!

Complain to them, point out you made no notifiable changes which their agent should have pointed out to you and ask them to reimburse you your £25 and reinstate your premium.

I informed them because I'm not longer a "charity worker" and if I had to make a claim they could have used that to invalidate my policy.
I have complained to a supervisor to no avail. I'm not sure I'm going to waste further time on writing a letter.
I just wanted to know if other people had the same because it does feel like they have stolen the money from my pockets

Now it looks as if you have made a change??

If so, you have nothing to grumble about.

Eh? I have changed employer as I said in my OP from a charity to a non charity doing the same job.
So it's ok to charge £25? Thanks mate

You may have received a discount for being employed by a charity as Insurers tend to discount or load for different occupations based on the Insurers experience of the occupations claims wise

It'll be in the T&Cs you 'should' have read when accepting the policy. Actually, 25 quid seems fairly cheap, we used to charge £35 (when I worked in insurance)
