credit card post offers...

Hi

Today in the post I got a letter from barclaycard advertising a 0% on balance transfers card for 20 months....

I have a credit card left over from my uni days that I would like to transfer over....wwhen I do the mse eligibility checker I get 90% for capital one 0% till january, 80% for a couple of others, but the barclaycard ones say 10-60% and this card isnt on there...

As I have been approached by them through the post is it likely I would get approved for the card? It does not say 'pre-approval' or anything on the letter...

Are they likely to accept me? Or is my name just on a list that they have sent letters out to?

Hi,

They would have put you through some simple criteria before including you in the Balance Transfers Campaign. However there are a number of facts that will be assessed during your application that they can’t check unless you have applied.

Each time you apply for an account a note is added to your credit file, they are unable to do this without your authorisation (i.e. you applying for the card).

Based on your history with Barclays they are probably willing to take a greater risk with you, however there is a still a chance that you will be declined.
