Advice on a cooker with a rubbish timer

Purchased an Electrolux cooker from ao.com at the beginning of this month and I've been unhappy with the timer on it from the start. It's a touch screen and it's really difficult to work. I've discovered I have to use my thumb at a certain angle to get it to respond. The minute minder function, which I use every time I cook, takes 3 presses to get to, then more presses to set it making it even more frustrating! Got an Electrolux engineer out within a week to see if it could be fixed but he advised that it was working as manufactured and not considered to be faulty. I have now went to the retailer, ao.com, and they are saying that as it's not 'faulty' they won't exchange it for another model.
My understanding of The Sale of Goods Act is that the timer at least is not of satisfactory quality and therefore not fit for purpose. The problems are that this doesn't apply to the whole cooker which works ok, and that the cooker has now been used for 11 days. Do I still have the right to complain?
I almost feel I'm being petty and should just persevere with it, but it's a function that I use every time I cook and it wasn't a cheap, basic model of cooker, so why should I have to?

If it's working as intended then there is nothing you can do.
You could have tested it when it was still in the DSR period and returned because you didn't like it, but that time has passed so you need to get used to it.0 -
Touch panels on cookers and hobs do tend to be nasty as the touch pad has to reside under the glass which is obviously strengthened to withstand heat so the sensitivity suffers.0

Sounds like it is working as it should and is of satisfactory quality and is clearly fit for purpose. It's just that you dont like it and you dont like the fact you have to press the button 3 times and then some more to configure the timer.I've discovered I have to use my thumb at a certain angle to get it to respond.
