Credit report not showing a debit

Options
Hi All, this is my first post so my apologies if it has already been covered in a different thread.
Ive had 3 loans that have defaulted over 5 yrs (no CCJ) and im using a debt management plan, 2 of the debts are showing on my report but the other one isn’t. My questions if I applied for a mortgage how would the lender know how much I owe if its not on my credit report, is there another way for them to check?

Thanks for your help in-advance

You would be required to state how much you owe on these debts on your application form and so they would find out from there (and obviously it would be mortgage fraud not to tell them).

They may well request to see your bank statements and would see payments to these debts and that may then trigger them to ask you for statements for these debts or a statement from your DMP provider.

Have you checked that the debt don't show on your report with any of the 3 credit reference agencies - as often mortgage lenders will check all 3. Is it that the default was more than 6years ago?

    Thanks for the response,
Ive checked with Experian and Noddle and its don’t show up on either, the debit is almost 6 yrs for all of them, it could be possible the one that isn’t showing is over 6 yrs (just).
Part from the 3 main reference agency do the banks use any other method of checking your credit reference? So I can check myself
    thanks

The 3 main credit reference agencies and CIFAS and National Hunter (both basically relate to fraud not how much you owe).

Then any internal records (if you have banked with them historically etc) and whatever you put on the application form, plus any documentation that they ask to see from yourself.
