Groundwater flood risk - building insurance

I'm in a property buying transaction (first time buyer), and searches that my solicitor completed exposed a high risk of groundwater flooding on the property.
I read on this article that some insurance companies don't provide compensation for groundwater flooding.
I tried to contact Direct Line (which I have my current content insurance with - I'm renting) and the lady on the phone told me that groundwater is not expressly excluded. But I'm aware also that legal ways of excluding that may not directly mention the "groundwater" word.
Has anybody of you had experiences with groundwater flooding and flood insurance? Any recommendations? Apart from not considering the firms that are listed in the article of course
Many thanks.

My understanding of Solicitors searches are that they either look at risk or perhaps just susceptibility.
It might be worth getting a specific groundwater flood report done looking at the actual risk which could potentially prove their is no risk of groundwater flooding and hence no issue.
I used a company called Envirep I found them on the web through a search. The report cost me about £80 for a basic report and concluded I had no worries.
just googled them and their website is envirep.co.uk0
