Just a 'heads up' in case anyone interested has dumped this as junk mail.

I had a letter in the post yesterday with application form to enrol in Royal Mail Dividend Re-investment Plan. Closing date for applications is 10 July.

This is in my to do pile as well, didn't fully read the letter last night.

Is the default position for you to receive the dividend or for it to accumulate? I can recall entering my bank details on application to receive the dividend in cash.

I remember entering bank details too, so I assume the default is to pay directly into nominated bank.

Just to add, if you are a CREST holder you will not be sent an application form and have to make your election through CREST.

Would I get this if I've bought my shares indirectly via fund supermarket?Or would that not apply as I would elect to re-invest dividends via my fund supermarket generically for all funds/shares?

Hi,
Just remembered I have to deal with this (the Dividend Re-investment plan) asap! But I'm a bit ignorant as to what it means and so as to what I should do. Can anyone help me at all?! Or direct me to somewhere where the possible options are explored & explained?
