What Flooring for a wooden kitchen floor

We have a raised kitchen floor, it's T&G chipboard flooring.
We can't remove it as all the pipes and cables run under it and it is raised to bring the floor level to the same as the rest of the house.
We had it tiled a few years back, laid Marine ply, use flexible tile adhesive, but the tiles and grout have cracked look a mess, so it all needs replacing.
We really like tiles, but clearly they won't work here, so can anyone suggest alternative that won't crack and will survive in a kitchen with 2 kids, 2 cats and a dog?

We wanted this for our kitchen; good old fashioned lino. There was so much teeth sucking though on how to raise the floor level 20mm though and we ended up going for stone slabs/tiles.0 -
If you laid the marine ply over the chipboard that could well be the problem as any moisture in chipboard would cause it to swell0
