What happened to the proposal thread?

Any ideas? It seems to have been locked, and there is nothing in the newsletter about it. Wind up?

First i have to clarify the proposal was genuine. I requested the thread to be locked because of a very nasty individual who uses this forum. I'm not going to name names but it was the user who bumped an OP's threads the other day. He/she sent a very threatening PM and until this issue is resolved the proposal will not be released for our safety. We are both very sorry to disappoint you all.

It grows increasingly difficult to shake off the feeling of "That's odd" about all of this.

It is true that on the original 'proposal thread' the OP mentioned a PM which had allegedly been received from a named forum member. That forum member denied the allegations, and was posting here as recently as yesterday.

It is also true that another forum member had a number of old thread bumped up the board at the weekend, by a selection of brand new usernames. It was suggested that the person behind that selection of brand new usernames was a poster who had been PPRd.

In turn, that may suggest that the forum member who was bumping posts was not the same as the one who allegedly sent a PM.

I don't know how much of the above is 'true'.

I can, however, state categorically that I am exercising my right to believe/disbelieve posts. And the 'proposal' posts have fallen on the 'dis' side of my personal scale.

Um, how is he being a bigot? I thought there was something odd about that thread, fun though it was to read and I'd like to see the ending :)

Jen’s Honey in that thread you also accused me of sending you a PM which I can say 100% I did not do. If I were you I would refrain from continually making these allegations, it does not make you look very good.
  • Why do I always miss these threads?!

Whether this whole thing is a wind up or not, I think what everybody has learned here is that making proposals on MSE is probably not the way to go if you don't want your special moment to turn into,.. well... this.

Exactly. Given the response from a number of people, several still battling away here if I were Jen/Beau I wouldn't want to bother any further.

Congratulations miseries, you've successfully bombed it for everyone. Hope y'all are proud.

Still no excuse for "Jen's Honey" to lie and try and turn people against me though.

To be fair you were quite nasty in that thread an unnecessarily so.

If you don't want people to think badly of you then don't put up things like that. PM or no, your behaviour was uncalled for.
