After searching for a house for too long (latest disaster is where we have a bad survey back and had to pull out..) but thi is nothing compared to the rubbish houses we have since looked at... cracks in ceilings, mine shafts in gardens and walls damper than a wet bath - I have decided that as of 9.59pm on the 10th July 2007 I am offically sick of looking for a house. It needs to find me!!! Unless anyone here has a house that they need to sell in Stoke on Trent to 2 very nice FTB'ers

As soon as you relax and feel like giving up the house of your dreams will come along......well it did for us anyway

We pulled out of a purchase over the new year as the vendor was messing us about. We decided to not rush into looking again for a few weeks to calm down from losing....what we thought....was our dream home. I was still checking rightmove every few days though
Hey presto, a few days after losing the previous house I saw one on rightmove that I just had to see. We loved it and made an offer the day after the viewing which was accepted!!
Relax and take your time, you WILL find the perfect place :T:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Long term CC debt £0

Almost debt free feeling, priceless.
Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.0 -

want to talk about damp walls, i once went to see a place with mushrooms growing out the wall.
funny thing is a developer was waling round the same time and said it was no big deal, just rip the plaster out and replace it, i couldnt help but wonder if he was considering the water had to come from somewhere and if it had grown fungus on the wall the beams might not be so good either.
needless to say i gave the place a pass but it did put me off newly reovated places permenantly, at least if a place is a total wreck i can see the needed work gets done.0
