Barclaycard compromised fraud
Got a call off a 0844 number which I ignore. Googled it barclaycard fraud department. So phoned number on back of the card and yes they have received a list of possible! cards being compromised. Mine now blocked and no dodgy transactions supposedly.'cant access my online account as it's #being updated. Hmm check you accounts

Barclaycard receiving a list of cards which (may) have been compromised doesn't necessarily mean Barclaycard itself has been compromised. The list might be of cards compromised at a retailer or a card/processing company. This wouldn't necessarily extend to just Barclaycard. Following investigations into breaches or fraud, these sorts of lists are common.

The same thing happened to me when I was with Santander. They work in partnership with VISA. In my case they also identified a large transaction which was not within my spending pattern (womens clothing) and they went through recent transactions which I had to identify as authorised or not. The transaction was blocked, the card was blocked and I received another card with a different number and I didn't lose out. I must say they acted very fast.
