Can you reuse postage labels?

Hi,

Apologies if this isn't in the right forum, however it was the closest match I could find.

I have received a package from eBay which I am looking to return to the seller. My question is, are you able to reuse the same postage label, however just stick the return address over the top?

I know that stamps are reusable so therefore this should work in the same way right?

The label itself doesn't go into too much detail, other than having 'Royal Mail 1' in the top corner.

Any ideas if sending this back in the same packaging would work?

Really? Since when were Royal Mail OK with people re-using stamps?!

They may not be. My point being that it wouldn't be difficult to stick a label over the original address on the same envelope.

It might not be difficult, but it would certainly be illegal.

you need to pay to send something through the post.

It doesn't matter if it already has a stamp on ..It will probably just mean the parcel will have a charge on it when it arrives....what you should do is either accept the postage costs or ask the seller to refund the cost ..I am assuming you haven't left feedback yet ?

Don't they normally stamp the stamp to say it has been used???

So the answer is no you can't. If you try to drop the parcel off at a post office, they'll want the paperwork to go with it.

No, you can't. Those labels are paid for just like stamps.
