Hi everyone,
I went bankrupt in 2006 and since then have sorted my self out and recently got a mortgage. However one company keeps putting negative marks on my credit report saying that I have just defaulted on the loan that was in my bankruptcy 8 years ago. I managed to get it removed and thankfully got the mortgage but since then they have put the negative marks on another two times. When I contact them they do remove them after 5-7 days and have sent me several cheques of around £100. I have just logged onto Equifax and found that on 7th June they have put these negative marks on again.
My question is should I contact them again and get it removed again 'til the next time they put it on and maybe receive another cheque or is there a way i can take it further? It is causing me a lot of distress and the damage it is doing is not compensated by a couple of hundred pounds. If there is another course of action I could take, what is it and what recompense could I expect?
Regards

Give the FOS a call to see if they can take a complaint on regards this in some fashion? May require you to submit another formal complaint encompassing it all?Still rolling rolling rolling......

If you have previously complained (and it sounds like you have had it sorted) but they continue to mess up in the resolving of that complaint, i.e. keep re-adding it, then go straight to the FOS.

I would call them to explain.:beer:0 -
Thanks for the replies, I will get on to the Ombudsman in the morning.
Does this sound like something I would get compensated for or is it more a case of reprimanding the lender?0 -

If your file is otherwise clean, there's no reason why compensation wouldn't be necessary. The lender would also be told in no uncertain terms not to do it again.💙💛 💔0
