I have some isas in the halifax but not getting much interest. i was going to buy a flat to rent out but that fell through.
Im thinking of putting 10k in standard life uk equity unconstrained which has been getting great results for the past 6 years I know this is no guarantee of future success but as my other investments are low risk would this be worth a punt ?? looking for advice.

Clearly you should consider investments if you're happy taking the punt (risks involved) and the time horizon you have. If all is well, you should take a view of all your investment holdings together before deciding where to invest. Also, may I point out that for tax efficiency, you should generally hold those investments in ISAs if you have allowances left.

Either do some research on how to construct a well diversified portfolio based on your attitude to risk or speak with an IFA.

In the run-up to the General Election we may see the Govt. doing its best to ensure markets remain confident, that could be a good environment for a UK orientated fund but personally I'd be very wary at the moment.
