We got normal renewal forms, from the council, through the post, and I just posted them back, with copies of the DLA award notices, a cheque and new photos attached.

Cost £10 for each one, and the badges came back, through the post, within a week.

    This all seems unnecessarily complicated!

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

It is, but sometimes I wonder if it is designed to be to prevent some people from applying, not just for blue badges but for anything.

This is part of the reason I believe that UC is entirely online based only. Some people won't have the confidence/ability to apply online, and some of those people will be too proud/scared to ask for help, leaving them in a very vulnerable, potentially dangerous, position.

It seems that cost cutting (the main reason why things like this are done online) is put before everything else, whether the situation is suitable to being online or not.
[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Everything with my council is a bit "turn up on a 3rd Friday of the month at the office on the 5th floor of our most inaccessible building to talk to the secretary of the person who works under the head of that department who will pass your form on the next Tuesday blah blah blah" unless it's giving out £1000 grants to shop owners to repaint their store fronts before the cameras arrive before the commonwealth games.
