AVG free or Avast free?

Whatever it takes. I've no experience with these, whereas I know that Revo removes a lot more that ordinary uninstallers do not. It starts with the installation's standard remover (or Windows remover) then looks behind the scenes for the rubbish left, and eradicates that too. It also (mostly) eliminates the need for a restart.0

if an av company produces it's own uninstall tool, use it

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

Yup, used to have AVG and it got way too bloaty and shouty, switched to Avast and it's been fine.Out on blue six..
It's Chips and Jackets, Peas and Trousers.0 -
Avast user here, but recently used a laptop with Free AVG.
AVG 2014 didn't appear to be the pile of bloated c@rp that I remember from a few years back.
I can't comment on it's detection performance, but looking at some of the comparison sites it seems to be be better than it once was.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

Download and update for free from here before your present licence expires, remove the old version then install the new one.

Then buy from Amazon and just use the key that comes with the new edition to renew your licence.
