The link on MSE to apply for an American Express Platinum Everyday cashback card takes you to a website where you choose between the 'Platinum Card' and the 'Platinum Everyday Card'.
BE CAREFUL! Which ever you chose, you will be taken to a link to apply for the 'Platinum Card', and once opened, American Express will charge you £25. The 'Platinum Everyday Card' should not charge £25.
I have informed American Express of this issue and they have not replied.
It seems like a scam to me.

'Scam' or just human error.

Do you really think some sales execs thought this up to cheat you out of money?:hello:0 -
It's human error. In the spirit of always checking what you're signing up for, people should be able to realise that something is wrong.

No scam involved.
You are taken to the correct application for the relevant card.
It is misleading as they are both labeled Platinum Cashback card but if your click the summary box you will see the details for the Eveyrday Cashback card.
Have you applied using this application and been issued the wrong card?
The URLs of the the two application forms are different to each other.0 -
Think yourself lucky you didn't accidentally apply for their Platinum chargecard at £450 per year ;-)0
