    OK I see yoru point. Have you tried contacting the manufacturer of yoru TV directly and asking them for a replacement control? Usually there is a remote which, even if its nto exactly the same, will still work with your TV and do most things.

    I remember ringing them ages ago, and i think they no longer stocked it, and had subbed it out to another firm, but from memory they were wanting an arm and a leg for one, so said no. Hoping to find a cheaper one around.

    Tried EBay? You can find all sorts of spare parts on there sometimes.
