ppi claim

Hi A couple of months ago I received a letter from capital one saying I had a valid claim for credit card insurance and should reply to their letter by a certain date accepting the claim or I would not be entitled to a refund after this date. As it happened I just received their letter coincidentally on the expiry date for acceptance even though the letter was dated a couple of weeks previous. Do you know would I still be entitled to the refund they said I was due or have I lost all rights because of delayed postage?

Did you receive this letter in response to a complaint you lodged? If not, it will only have been an invitation to complain.

Regardless of the letter being received on the "expiry date", why have you left it a further "couple of months" to query it?

  • Thanx for you reply. I had completed and submitted the form and this letter actually quoted them sum I was entitled to. My delay in acting is due to the fact I work out of the country and am only home every couple of months. I received this letter just before I left last time. Do you know if they can put a time limit on how long you have to accept their offer?
