Many thanks for your suggestion Red dog Sam and your link to choose net. My latest assurance that I will received the refund in 3 business days ends on Monday 16/06/2014 so if still no joy then will consider charge back proceedings.0

At last! After almost 3 weeks, endless emails and phone calls I have received the full refund. What a complete and utter nightmare though. My advice would be look elsewhere but if you are tempted pay by credit card despite the 2.5% surcharge and never, ever give your card details until you are 100% sure the price quoted is the absolute final price. I personally will never book with this company again however good the deals looks. Many thanks for all your comments and support.0

Spent an hour on the phone with Teletext booking holiday confirmed names and passport details, payment was taken. I confirmed the price with him three times. As soon as I put phone down, get a call to say that the price has now gone up by £110 per person (x6 people)!! Passed from pillar to post even by the supervisors. "But ma'am prices can go up". Yes they can but I shouldn't have that added to my payment after I've paid you and price has been confirmed. What are they planning to do, charge me every time the price increases until the day of departure? Have asked for a refund which better come through!! Avoid avoid avoid. Elsewhere might be more expense but at least you don't get this headache!0

The one (and only!) time I booked a teletext holiday, I got stuck in Greece because of strikes.
Easyjet were good as gold and did everything they should have done, when they should have done. They refunded my flight, hotel and phone bill to the cards they'd been paid with.
Annoyingly, the card used to pay for the flight wasn't the card I used to pay with  It turned out that the travel agent had used their own card to book my flights, so naturally, easyjet refunded them.
It took three weeks of constant unanswered emails and hung up phone calls to get my money back. My final email was along the lines of "if I don't get my money back within 24 hours I will be contacting the police to investigate theft/fraud". Within 20 minutes I had a phone call from them to say I was being refunded, and it was back in my bank before I got home from work.
This was before I was as "wise" as I am now.mid sent that email more out of desperation than anything else as I didn't know what else to try
I will never book anything other than directly now and would always advise others to do the sameI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards.
