Sacks of Spuds

Does any supermarket still sell these? they was the "unwashed variety"

They use to last me ages! great for chips, mash etc and was great value for money when on a budget considering the initial outlay and how long they last.

Probably not. However if you live near some farms, they may have bags for sale at roadside. Butchers sometimes sell them.

I have a sack in the kitchen cost £3.49 in mr M. last week.
Hit or miss with the quality though, luckily these seem ok.

They sell large bags 7.5kg for (I think) £2.50 in Farmfoods, Estima or Maris Piper. I saw someone buying a large bag in Lidl's last week but don't remember the size or price. Not exactly what you were asking but maybe worth checking out if you've got these shops nearby.

Confirm Morries sell them at £3.49 for 12.5kg last week.
Also boot sales, though take care they are not washed (won't keep).

What difference does washing make to how long they keep?
