Hi guys,
I have recently been finding beetles in my home, i have gone on an insect ID forum and been told it's probably Ptilinus pectinicornis, which on further looking into is a type of woodwormy beetle.
Does anyone have any reconsiderations for who i get in touch with to come and check it out / sort out the problem?
I've heard of rentokill and timberwise but am struggling as to what to do, as i want the beetles ID'd and my house inspected, i have a lot of very old furniture in my house and am worried.
I live in Essex so if anyone can recommend any company for a quote i would be so grateful.
Thanks so much

You know, I've lived in a few houses with evidence of woodworm and handled many pieces of infected wood and never ever have I seen the insect that does the damage. I would be surprised if what you've seen is actually the culprit - they're so secretive.
Don't be too quick to invite someone to take your 'well earned' to rid you of a non existent problem.0
