    Google maps tells me this journey is 8 miles. I'd be thinking of cycling and saving up for a moped, if I didn't drive. Apologies if you have a medical condition such as epilepsy which would make this impossible. But I wasn't impressed by your suggestion that hot weather is hampering your job search - people with a job still have to go in to work in the hot weather.....

    Also.... my very first job was - well, I shudder to think, now, how far it was from home, on a VERY obscure bus route. I was a young teenager (still at school, holiday job) and the employer went out of their way to see if anyone could give me a lift. I'm surprised more employers don't do this, actually! You could certainly ask at interview if there are any car-sharing schemes or carbon-friendly ways of helping people to commute, I would think that would be an absolutely acceptable question in today's society.

    If you live at great Barr then Bham city centre is easily accessible so an abundance of retail, bar or wiatress jobs. McDonalds Besot is recruiting full time staff again acccessible for you. The new discount warehouse is also opening there too. Plenty of jobs going in west brom smyths toy shop after full and part time staff. Are you 18-24?
