Online banking has been disabled, for access to current account and credit card account,

(natwest, similar platform to rbs)

Online it is giving this message

"Customer advice, please address the following issues:

The Customer Number entered has been disabled.
We have taken action to disable access to your online service,

please contact the Digital Banking helpdesk immediately"

My phone is being fixed at the moment, as it has problems, so cannot call until it is fixed.

as far as the block

Has this happened to you how did it get resolved?

Did you have to go to the branch to resolve this?
or only on the phone,

or does the block get removed automatically in a few days?

Do the team send out letters out to confirm this block?

This is a pain as I intended to send out payments, which are already late as it is hence asking :(

This is usually virus related, ring them up and you should be able to sort it out.

Agree, this sounds like some sort of virus, if for no other reason that the following is anything but english:

Ring your bank now. Borrow a phone if necessary. You need to tell them about the problem.

Have you run a virus scan (with latest version of your virus software)? Also, you should run a malware scan with malwarebytes.

As soon as you are able to log in again, change your password.

    thanks

anything but english, i have copy and pasted it, word for word now.

Do you mean that, the URL is a fake on?

(I got it from google, and it is the one used before)

or you mean the URL is a natwest one,
but it Promts to ask for further details (Which you they want you to enter),

because they prompted to do an online chat...(which didn't do)

-Do you mean in related to that news story about the virus which was on the news lately, which is moving to the UK (banking password virus)

I tried to log in yesterday to get a tax certificate but I kept getting the error, username not recognised. The screen then stated that I was locked out of my account and would need to complete a security check. I was asked several questions to check it was my account and the final screen showed my user id which was the one I had already input and the system had not recognised. I was then allowed to log in. I have only a £1 with them now. I also received an email from Natwest welcoming me back to Online banking.

"Now that you've reactivated your Online Banking, you can manage your money 24/7, pay bills, transfer money and set up standing orders online. You can also search and print statements."

So I am thinking that as I had not logged in for a while my log in details must have expired or something.

As OLB access has been disabled. If you enter your PIN/password incorrectly it will only lock you out and not disable your access.
