How to get money after Barclay Reg Saver expires?

Options
My Barclay regular saver expires next week, does anyone know how I can access the funds?

Other reg savers I have had simply transfer the money to a savings account/my current account but this account is the only one I have with Barclays. Will I be able to go into branch and withdraw the money or get a cheque or will they post me one?

Thanks.

Any Barclays regular savers I've had in the past have just sat there on a lower rate of interest once the special period is over. I could transfer the money out with online banking, or you could probably do the same in branch.

The Monthly Saver reverts to either an e-Savings Reward account or an Everyday Saver (I forget) so just transfer it with online banking. I am guessing you don't have a Barclays current account so if it becomes an e-Saving Reward, which is online, only, I don't think branch staff can access it

Don't go into the branch to try to close it: they were awful when we tried. In the end we just withdrew almost all the cash and left them pennies to manage. In our experience Barclays has been much the worst of the High St banks. But we've never used NatWest.
Free the dunston one next time too.
  • Mine got converted to an Everyday Saver (I don't have any other accounts with Barclays). Armed with ID I went into the branch and closed it - they transferred it straight into my non-Barclays current account.
