birthday/ Christmas saving for a child.

I have a baby grandaughter, rather than buy her Christmas and birthday presents i'm going to put money into an account for her twice a year for b/day and xmas until she's an adult.
Any idea whats the best account to have please?

over that time period it would be best to invests in stocks and shares but that may depend how much you are planning to give;
probably a collective investment like unit trusts/OEICs
do bear in mind you may have other grandchildren and may want to treat them all alike0 -
